A year in the Cotswolds - images from my archive.
The Cotswolds are stunningly beautiful, almost too sublime and have become a visual cliche , as a photographer I am often commissioned to produce advertising images that usually are required to be positive and beautiful . Some of these images have been part of that approach and it is not hard to produce images that are 'beautiful' .
However ,for myself I try to not produce just images that shall end up on a postcard, or an advertising campaign ,but I hope that some may transcend the pictorial and show an insight to the experience of been in the Cotswolds, many are taken when I have enjoyed a walk ,often with family and friends ,the images then take on a very personal quality , a shared experience that becomes a memory forever recorded in a digital image.
Here are some of those images, shot over the years, they are not just pretty pictures, to me they represent a part of my life, much of which has been connected to this part of the world , I am so lucky to enjoy such an environment and I hope that all that visit and live in this sublime part of England ,never forget how lucky we are to have such beauty .
